Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

OntoReason has been active in informatics initiatives at the CDC since 2006. Our activities there have supported development of the healthcare acquired infection control standards and applications. Our team developed the ontology driven national tuberculosis surveillance system used by the CDC to collect tuberculosis information from all 50 states and US protectorates. We have provided education and training in informatics to the National Center for Public Health Informatics through our academic affiliation with the University of California. We participated in the design and development of the CDC's public-health information network vocabulary access and distribution system, primarily responsible for the development of the automated workflow tools and governance infrastructure for the vocabulary development team.

MD Anderson Cancer Center

OntoReason developed a strategic roadmap for the migration to semantic terminology services. We Implemented enterprise vocabulary services and governance processes for centralized terminology services to support bench to bedside data sharing and interoperability.

Data Conversion Laboratory (DCL)

OntoReason teamed up with Data Conversion Laboratory to provide SPL coding of product labels for DCL customers. OntoReason developed a strategic partnership with DCL to support their customers in the process of converting their data to the FDA structured product label requirements.

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals

OntoReason has provided SPL coding services and national standards based terminology strategic consulting to Wyeth Pharmaceuticals to assist with their compliance of FDA electronic labeling requirements.

California Department of Mental Health

OntoReason has provided strategic consulting on public health informatics for CalMend Mental Health Services project, DHS California.

Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE)

OntoReason has provided CSTE with National Case Reporting Criteria Position Statement authoring services for terminology coding of all Nationally Reportable Diseases. We developed the next generation of position statements for public health reportable conditions, including the standard informatics for detecting cases for public health reporting.
